4 Tbsp of pickling spices
Preparation instructions: Combine 4 Tbsp of pickling spice, 1 cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 1 Tbsp salt, 1/4 cup sugar (optional), and spices/herbs like dill or red pepper flakes (optional) in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and allow to cool slightly. Meanwhile, add prepared vegetables to a mason jar. Pour the pickling liquid into the mason jar, let cool, and refrigerate. Allow the vegetables to pickle at least overnight.
