Stretch Your Dollar
It's simple: good food should be affordable.
We can connect you to programs that make buying groceries a little easier
In Ohio, you have the option to sign up for a few different programs to help out with your grocery bill. At Local Matters, we are happy to explore options with you. We can help with:

SNAP/EBT and Pandemic-EBT
SNAP/EBT and Pandemic-EBT is a program through the state of Ohio. You could be eligible based on your family size, income, and monthly expenses. Over 170,366 families in Franklin County used SNAP/EBT and Pandemic-EBT in September 2020 - find out if you are eligible, too!
Produce Perks (the green tokens!)
The Produce Perks program provides up to a $25 match on SNAP/EBT and Pandemic-EBT purchases. So, when you use your SNAP/EBT at participating markets, you earn a $1-for-$1 match in Produce Perks tokens that can be redeemed for fruits and vegetables. Find participating markets here.
Fruit and Vegetable coupons (TANF)
The Fruit and Vegetable Program aims to help Ohio's families purchase more healthy foods. Eligible customers have: an annual income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level; a minor child in the household; and U.S. citizenship. More information can be found here.
Produce Prescriptions (PRx)
Some doctors in our community have started prescribing Produce Prescriptions. That is because food is a critical part of our healthcare and is impactful in the treatment and management of disease. If your doctor has prescribed you Produce Prescriptions, you can redeem them at any Veggie Van market!
